Our history

The Saddlery and Gunroom has been serving the equestrian, shooting and country pursuits markets for over 60 years.

Established in the late 50s, the shop began life as one half of today’s business, offering equestrian products for local riders and their horses. However, it continued to grow, so the property underwent an extension, which would accommodate the Gunroom.

Today, the shop is run by father and sons trio, Howard, Oliver and Daniel Smith. Their unique skillsets in saddle fitting, merchandising, retail, engineering and farming, have helped to create the personal experience and excellent service that our customers would recommend us for.

The Saddlery & Gunroom is more than just a local shop; it is a stockist of the leading equestrian, shooting and country brands and home to an extensive collection of saddles with an on-site master saddler.

The Saddlery and Gunroom is also the manufacturer of Hushpower – the original moderated shotgun – and a reputable gun repair and alteration shop.

Our reputation speaks for itself as trade members of The Gun Trade Association and The Society of Master Saddlers and an AMTRA registered premises.

Overall, our goal is to provide the latest products and highest customer service across the equestrian and shooting industry, coupled with a welcoming atmosphere and highly trained staff that can help you to select the right products for you.

 

       

Returns and Refunds


In Store Returns

Purchases made in store can be returned within 14 days from the date of purchase. Items must be returned with a valid receipt, if you do not have it or cannot provide a valid receipt, it is at the manager’s discretion as to whether the product may be returned. Items returned must be clean, in a saleable condition and with its original packaging and labels. Sale items cannot be returned unless they are faulty.

Online Returns

Purchases made online via our website can be returned within 28 days from the date of purchase. Please ensure you return the item with your original order number. Items must be returned in a clean, saleable condition and with all its original packaging and labels. Items via post or courier, the customer is responsible for covering postage or courier charges. Sale items cannot be returned unless they are faulty.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Shipping returns

All items are aimed to be shipped within 3 working days. We use Royal Mail and DHL dependant on location.

To return your product, you should mail your product to:  The Saddlery and Gunroom, 368 Main Road, Westerham, Kent, TN16 2HN

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
