Our history
The Saddlery and Gunroom has been serving the equestrian, shooting and country pursuits markets for over 60 years.
Established in the late 50s, the shop began life as one half of today’s business, offering equestrian products for local riders and their horses. However, it continued to grow, so the property underwent an extension, which would accommodate the Gunroom.
Today, the shop is run by father and sons trio, Howard, Oliver and Daniel Smith. Their unique skillsets in saddle fitting, merchandising, retail, engineering and farming, have helped to create the personal experience and excellent service that our customers would recommend us for.
The Saddlery & Gunroom is more than just a local shop; it is a stockist of the leading equestrian, shooting and country brands and home to an extensive collection of saddles with an on-site master saddler.
The Saddlery and Gunroom is also the manufacturer of Hushpower – the original moderated shotgun – and a reputable gun repair and alteration shop.
Our reputation speaks for itself as trade members of The Gun Trade Association and The Society of Master Saddlers and an AMTRA registered premises.
Overall, our goal is to provide the latest products and highest customer service across the equestrian and shooting industry, coupled with a welcoming atmosphere and highly trained staff that can help you to select the right products for you.

Despite what others say, the saddlery and gunroom is a fantastic shop! I bought my first air rifle from them only a week ago and they couldn't have been more helpful. I got a large discount and they even exchanged my case for a newer one as I broke the zipper free of charge. I cannot thank them enough. I was in search of a Pre-Charged Pneumatic (PCP) air rifle and was recommended by several friends to check out the Saddlery & Gunroom in Biggin Hill. I took the opportunity to visit on a Thursday afternoon and found a fantastic store with real character and excellent parking at the rear of the premises.On entering the store, I was greeted warmly by a young lady at the counter and on walking over to the gun section of the store I was greeted by Dave who proceeded to guide me through a selection of rifles and the benefits of each. I needed an air rifle for pest control and Dave guided me with the constraints of my budget to the fantastic Stroeger XM1.I left the store without making a purchase on the day and was treated with professionalism and courtesy throughout, following a late night research binge into the Stroeger XM1 and reading the great reviews and noting the Red Dot Award it received in 2020 for its design features. I decided to go for the S4 Suppressor model which comes with a moderator (silencer) and telescopic sight.I returned to The Saddlery & Gunroom the following day and spoke again with Dave and met Dan who is a true energy of enthusiasm when it comes to anything sporting guns. I purchased the Stroeger XM1 S4 Suppressor model and even got a free case with my purchase, thank you Dave.This is a great gunroom and they have a excellent selection with great customer services and attention to detail ensuring that you get the right product for your need, very down to earth and honest service, highly recommended.read more

I have purchased from the saddlery before, I popped in today to have my air rifle serviced, the first person I saw it would take a month to get it back as they were very busy, then the manager/owner came over and said he would have a quick look at it, he repaired it and I was able to come back with it.
